I would use "https://hazards-fema.maps.arcgis.com/" all the time to look up flood zones. a little better than FEMA.GOV

now it says you have to have a paid account to use there page.

anyone aware of this?

It does look like you have to have an ESRI account there now... 🙁

I used to put together reports for LOMA/LOMR & NPDES where I'd include FIRMettes which were custom localized flood info.?ÿ I see they've changed that access to their map Map Service Center where you can also download full FIRM panels (and LOMC info, NFHL data and reports) at:

https://msc.fema.gov/portal/search?AddressQuery=kona%2C%20hi#searchresultsanchor

Another cool (IMO) bit I use for quick ID is their Google Earth KMZs.?ÿ Can download at:

https://hazards.fema.gov/femaportal/wps/portal/NFHLWMSkmzdownload

And here's an info pdf I refer to every now and then, mostly for zone designation info:

https://www.fema.gov/pdf/nfip/manual200910/16map.pdf
