Don't knock me too bad on my first plat posting, but I thought I'd let y'all see the first plat that I completed and recorded yesterday.

First Plat

If I don't get back to comments, don't take it personally, I'm headed to the field for the day.

Don't expect many, if any comments

Your link goes to a sign in / sign up page. I won't do it.

Also, while one should never say never, I don't think I'd post a plat on line and give a Board member a chance to see it. It's an open invitation for them to find a problem with minimum standards and open a file on you.

Dang. I didn't know about the login... dang. it was opening up for me.

Right on though. I always liked that aspect of the other site.

Plat removed

At Dave's suggestion, I have removed the plat...

I always liked that part of the old site.

It is recorded, so if somebody wants to find fault with it, the can now anyway.

Andy,

I think I'll go with Dave Ingram's advice and not draw extra attention to myself...

But I so did like that part of the other site.

Maybe another time soon.

Thanks though.

Carl

Post a friend's plat

We are a recording state, and the plats are posted on line. Rather than post one of my messed up plats, I will post a link to another poster's plat. I just picked this one at random. Check it out. http://www.plat.arkansas.gov/DisplayPDF.aspx?uid=213286

And here is a link to another fellow poster's plat.

http://www.plat.arkansas.gov/DisplayPDF.aspx?uid=161798

And this is one of my plats. Take notice that when it was scanned, they increased the contrast so that my raised seal would show up. I noticed on another one that they had used an ink pad on the seal to make it show up.:-)

I'm not going to critique either map. I live in a glass house.
However, I did notice the Leroy font on Dan's, you don't see that
much anymore(at least around here). I think I may start using it again

Slight hijack: I'm working on adding the ability to upload other types of files. 🙂

Post a friend's plat

Dang Steve...
I wish they would have scanned the plats in color back in 2000...then those beautiful tree symbols and woods lines would have shown up...lol.

I would like to point out the copyright DDSM,LLC 2000...the DECLARATION as opposed to 'Certificate'...and my crimp seal not scanning at all...(nor did the red eyes of the unicorn)

Mr. Rowland...
As the official public record plat was filled with the County Clerk of Saline County, I would like to point out that the 'copy' that was scanned and posted by the Arkansas Geographic Information Office (for the State Land Surveyor)is a breach of copyright.

Mr. Survey or...
That is only Romans having a slant of 10deg.56min. and a width of 1.299.
My PS# is 1056 and my partner's PS# is 1299. 😉

Mr. Hill...
I've used that 'butt ugly' North Arrow since I found it in the DCA software.:good:

To any Arkansas State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors members who would like to comment on this plat, you know where to find me. Come by and buy me a beer.

DDSM
(and you didn't know DDSM was for Design Drafting, Surveying & Mapping  you thought it stood for Dan Dan the Survey Man)
