Sometimes it can be helpful:
I would have had a time locating this one if it hadn't burned up the tree.
Thanks for the tip.
Now I carry a lighter, and a can of gas!

It looks like that monument may have jacked out of the ground a bit or someone put it back in the ground. Are there any accessories left over from the fire?
It's still in its original position. Accessory right where it was described.
Must be something wrong, the pin looks to be in line with the fence and that can't be right!
I am the god of hell fire...
I'll teach you to burn...
Great photo
Why? Because it's cooler than a brush axe 😀

I went to an actual fire incident to map the origin and now the inside of my truck smells like a cheap Texas BBQ.
Lol. I got some soot on me from diving into that burned tree. It does stink and that fire was last summer. Grass sure came back nice but the timber probably won't in my lifetime
It makes it nice for searching. There is a soon to be published article on hunting for PLSS mon's after a wildfire in the Utah Foresights magazine. Quite an experience for me. I've seen the proof copy, should be published soon.
