Anyone have a sample field ticket they could share? I need to stop getting screwed by contractors who ask for extras and then don't pay!

That's only a problem if you let it continue. A re-stake here and there while on site anyway is no problem, just keep track. And make sure they know you're keeping track.

The contrary is that every once in a while we all get a hiccup on one of our stakes, and they don't go nuts over it. And rest assured, they are keeping track too.

Changing the scope is entirely different, so just say no and get in your truck. Never say yes and expect something you never planned on.

Hopefully, the project gets completed and all move on to the next one. Good luck

Send me a email and I will send you a copy of a Stake/Restake form. I tried to email you via SurveyConnect, but it won't allow any attachments. My email address is in my profile.

Burn me once, shame on you.

Burn me twice, shame on me.

I won't even stop to talk to anyone who has burned me twice.

They can talk to someone else.

I have my crews document the request in the field book and have the contractor sign the request. Of course, this is dependent that the contractor in the field has the authority to request more work.
