The area in which I live has just had the Flood Maps update this past month. I live in a subdivision that was built in the last 10 years and there was a LOMR-F done for the whole subdivision. I have received a letter from the lender stating that the Flood Maps have been updated and it shows that I now reside in a flood zone. The map has not changed from the old one, the area was in zone "A" before the subdivision was built.

Now I go to FEMA to look for the LOMR-F and it is no longer on there.

Does FEMA remove all the LOMR's associated with the previous maps? Do I need to have a new FEC done?

Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

When the maps are completely updated (i.e., they get a new effective date, not a revision date), all LOMA's are considered null and void. However, every county I've worked in will eventually release a "revalidation letter" that specifically mentions which LOMAs are still valid.

But, FWIW, if you go to the map service center, click "product catalog", then "historic FIRMs", you should be able to locate the older map, then you can see a list of the old LOMAs from there.
