Has anyone heard when FEMA will be issuing the new flood certificates?
The current certificates are set to expire at the end of the month.

It is in the approval process now through OMB and DHS. I wouldn‰Ûªt look for it before the end of the year. Just keep using the current form until it is replaced

From the Floodplain Regulations Committee of ASFPM

"We understand that there are two revisions to the EC being proposed for approval by OMB. The first is the addition of a new building diagram. It will be diagram number 2B, and will show a true basement, which has access to the outside via a subgrade door and steps up to the ground level. Also included will be a check box to indicate if the property is in a LiMWA area, with instruction to provide related information (if any) in the comments section"

Message I received back today from an inquiry a couple of days ago regarding the status of the now-expired elevation certificate form:

"FEMA‰Ûªs Elevation Certificate (FEMA form 086-0-33) and Floodproofing Certificate (FEMA form 086-0-34) forms are currently under review at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). OMB has extended the expiration date of these forms to August 31, 2015. Until the OMB review process is complete, please continue to use the existing forms available on FEMA‰Ûªs website. Upon OMB approval, FEMA will update the website to include the new Elevation Certificate and Floodproofing Certificate forms.

We suggest you periodically check the Website for updated guidance for the new updated FEMA Elevation Certificate that will take the place of the current FEMA Elevation Certificate, etc.

Update from FEMA's website:

"The EC form is currently under review at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and they have extended the expiration date of this form to October 31, 2015. Until their review process is complete, please continue to use the existing form. Upon OMB approval, FEMA will update this record with the new Elevation Certificate form"
