I know there is bound to be a way of exporting latitude and longitude in Survey Controller but I cannot for the life of me, find it.

I have two files on the same job. It started out as one file and I made a copy. Then I did a site calibration on the copy to see which way would best fit the existing structures. I had to tie in more structures and now I need to copy those points from one file to the other as lat/long because the coordinate systems are different.

Any help would be appreciated.

James

This probably isn't the answer you had in mind but have you tried using a pencil and paper to copy the Lat/Long you want then hand type the copied lat/long into the data collector?
Like I said, probably not the answer you were looking for but sometimes we get so caught up trying to do everything digitally and completely over look and more obvious soltion.

That is exactly what I did on the first 20 points. The next day I put the base farther down the road and tied 16 more points. I was looking for an easier way.

Thanks,
James

I don't know if you already figured this out but in the export option that isn't the fixed format file option, the name escapes me its been a long day. You can choose to export the wgs84 coordinates and then import that same file using import the same file using the matching import option. OR you could uncalibrate that particular job and calibrate it to match the new job then dump the points in that coordinate system.

Hope this helps
