Hey brains trust.
Recently I switched from the Leica 1100s running TP Stakeout to a TS16 running Captivate, and while Captivate does things that the older machines cannot, the older machines were not without their advantages.
One thing that I miss is dynamic setout. In TP Stakeout, you could switch your laser on, take a shot on a wall for level, then tell the machine to drive to your design height. The instrument would then take a reflectorless shot, adjust its height, then take another shot and correct itself until it was on the money. It would also do this in 2D for marks on the ground. It was amazing for setting out studs etc.
Is there a function within Captivate that does this? Or a stand-alone $50,000,000 license that does it?
Thanks,
Mick
Mick,
Its been a bit since I've used an 1100 series but I do not remember seeing that routine. Could it have been an add-on program? Anyway, not that I have ever used one, but MyWorld has a bunch of 'Local Software Solutions' listed under the software tab. 'Stakeout Auto Points' looks to be what you are looking for. Not sure on cost but it looks interesting. I could have used it a while back.
Good Luck
@john-putnam Ah yes. Stakeout Auto Points is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks John!
"This app is currently only available in Europe and only in English, Hungarian and Spanish. If you are interested in this app, please contact your local Leica representative so they can organize to make this app available for your region." That's weird.
The 1100s perform this task via an onboard program called TP Stakeout only (I think). I never saw any other program do it.
