Coming to Lincoln, Nebraska. Luckily both sections corners that will be affected are well north and south of the main activity.
I am working on one in Wisconsin. Next in my hopper of drafting is to label the plan & profile for it. I am working on a DOT Mega Project.
Figure 8 racing for the general public was my first impression.
Supposedly, Missouri has more of them already than any other State.
Thanks for the heads-up. I work at Caltrans (DOT)and this is the first I've heard of this. I see they have a couple planned for somewhere in the State. Not sure how well it will handle our traffic patterns. Just too darn many cars.
Oh my gosh, seems like a good idea until you consider the skill level of the average driver. Most can't even handle a conventional double merge which theoretically should be very efficient, nope, just gets jammed up.

Oregon and Washing have been using a new type of interchange for several years now. I'm not sure of the name but I really like them. They only require one light with 3 cycles. No more getting onto the overpass only to have to wait for another light. I really wish they would have places one at the new interchange near my place.
ODOT seems to have have spent an exorbitant amount on the overpass on this particular example, it seems way wider than they needed. The first ones I saw were in Vancouver, WA and have the freeway is on the overpass which looks to require a much smaller/cheaper bridge.
That seems a lot more viable for most of the drivers out there.
