Don't you love it when you ask someone at Best Buy if this doodad will correct your computer's hiccup and they immediately start to read the back of the package?
Be careful with that swatter. I know a guy (since deceased, of course) who was fired as a country club manager because he openly swatted flies in the country club dining room on a Saturday night.

My derriere became quite familiar with such devices in my early days walking this Earth.?ÿ On rare occasions I have witnessed them used for their labeled use.
My youngest daughter is a former Best Buy employee.?ÿ She wouldn't have known the difference between a 9J57B-18 and a leaf blower.?ÿ But, then, neither would I.?ÿ She was amused at witnessing people climb out of a pickup that would bring more at the salvage yard than anywhere else then stroll in and purchase 10 times the value of the pickup in "electrickle" devices for their home.
@mathteacher I'm glad you don't know me. You seem to know a lot of deceased people.

Unless you are a hermit, it comes automatically from being around for several decades.
@bill93?ÿ
Amen, Brother Bill.?ÿ The cemeteries are full of people I have known.?ÿ One fellow I knew was born in 1873.?ÿ Everyone I ever knew who was born prior to about 1918 is now deceased.?ÿ My last grandparent died in 1970.?ÿ There are a small number of people left who were the parents of the kids in my schools.?ÿ The other half of my Second Grade class died in 1980.
@bill93?ÿ
At our 50th year class reunion, it was determined that we had lost 21 out of 74 classmates.?ÿ That is a significantly higher percentage than several of the older classes.
@bill93?ÿ
My father's 50th year class reunion had lost only one out of 15.?ÿ Him.?ÿ Another two months and he would have made it.?ÿ This is especially impressive as most of the boys in his Class of '41 had seen action in WW II.?ÿ Our class that was similar in size to your class has only lost 8 or 9.?ÿ Cancer is the number one cause.?ÿ None were killed in Viet Nam.
@mathteacher Well let's put an end to this birthing stuff already. If it saves one person from dying it's worth it.
This statistic may not be as true to day as it was 50 to 90 years ago, but:
Three-fourths of all accidents involving automobiles happen in the back seat.
In my younger days I was fortunate to travel the world, developing a knack for sensing direction well. When I moved across the divide that all went to crap for about a year. Traveling I prepared myself by looking at river flow, mountain ranges and other things to cue on. I failed to do that for the move. Lucky for me I'm a surveyor and got paid to learn my way around...
worked all day in Nevada valley, packed up and drove to El Centro to meet client and usgs group in morning.?ÿ Had maybe 2 hrs sleep and overcast.?ÿ Quick breakfast and meet everyone in parking lot.?ÿ They all looked at me for direction.?ÿ No sleep, no sun makes direction difficult and I sent them the wrong way.?ÿ They were good sports while correcting me.
Worked on an Indian reservation one winter.?ÿ Member of reservation worked with us and he could walk for miles in a straight direction while we would all walk in circles.
