Another typical week of surveying provided the sighting of the creatures listed. The eagle was resting on the ground in the middle of cropland that had recently been planted to corn.
We've been lucky so far and haven't encountered any legless, slithering types.
What did you see this past week?
I had to stop several times yesterday to let these cross the road and a couple more stops for herds of longhorn cattle. Some prairie dogs, a seven foot tall preying mantis (sculpture thankfully) but no sightings of snakes. Surprised me since we hiked into a bunch of remote areas.
Quite a nice day, even if it did reach 102f by the end of it.
Saw an Eagle perched in a very tall pine tree. The nest was in the next tree over. Was told it weighed over 300lbs. Of course this was not while surveying but rather whitewater rafting down the Saluda River in Columbia SC.
I saw a Bigfoot, and a Skunk Ape......then I quit looking in the mirror....;-)
Bunnies...
I saw bunny rabbits up at the cemetery. Forest Lawn had a sign to warn me of course...check this out:

Here's the "wildlife" in question...innocent lil' bunnies!! 😉

Bunnies...too bad they taste as good as they do...
in Maryland, these critters are getting hungry...
Here is my entry

Uh, where did that disgusting mouse looking thing come from on the sign at the cemetery?

If you MUST know...I was working on my "Rats Adventures" photo blog. So neener! hehehe 🙂
I had Wendell help me "alter" the sign a bit to say this instead:

Down here in Arizona, there has been an abundance of wildlife that I have been fortunate enough to snap pics of. Here's a few from my old neighbors backyard:
