I HATE when the field crew comes in and forgets to put the Data Collector on charge... GRRRR!!! The new DC's with the winders based operating systems runs the battery even if not in use... (why, I have no idea... I guess the clock in it or something) Sooooo, I went to load up the data to go set corners and... nothing... dead. It has to completely charge up.... hours wasted....

Oh yeah... I'm solo, so this is aaaallllllll on me...
🙁

Carl,
It's time you put a letter of reprimand to the file. Now don't let that happen again or we won't stop laughing....

Been there and done that before... I even fired myself one weekend. Ended up hiring me back the next Monday.

Go easy on him Norm. He's a HOKIE fan just like you. Give him another chance.

Carl,

I've done that with various batteries on more than one occassion. I have fired myself more than once, but I keep getting a second chance.

I once drove to the jobsite, then realized that I left the data collector on the desk. Luckily I was only about 20 minutes from the office. Heck, last week I was on a job and forgot the point plot to set the final corners. Luckily I was only about 10 minutes from the office. Trying to juggle too much at one time.

The joys of being solo!!! No one to blame but yourself.:-)

Jimmy

Carl

I'd fire that SOB before he gets into your pocket book any more than he already has.

🙂

Jimmy, I've forgotten the robot radios and the DC too...

I have since put up little orange reminder signs to make myself remember to grab everything on the way out... However, I'm not sure what it will take to get me to remember to plug up when I return!!

😉
