And hopefully we will not cancel it. Rest assured you will be on the agenda in the next June meeting we hold.
You guys would be funny if it wasn't so frustrating. :excruciating: Nice touch with the K, DDSM. Our family hasn't spelled our name that way since never.

I finally got a response that my information was submitted to the board on the same meeting but my name was not on the agenda and I have heard nothing from them yet. I left a voicemail today. Hopefully someone will return my call.
yeah -got my email notification to sit for testing. I will be registering to take the test sometime this week. Interesting, I have until 06/01/2018 to take the test.

I was advised that my application has been put on the agenda for the June board meeting.
I was also advised that the June meeting was cancelled.
o.O
Classic!
Andy, if you decide to try for Arkansas again, in the past Missouri out on some seminars about the PLSS that were very helpful. Dr. Dick Elgin put them on. He has also written a book about the PLSS in Arkansas and Missouri. Arkansas and Missouri are a little different than the other PLSS states. We follow Tiffin's instructions. I am surprised that they turned you down, a few years ago they let a young guy from Texas take the test with only Texas work experience after the SI exam. I think he didn't qualify to take the Texas exam because of their education requirements.
As far as getting an LS to verify your experience, I have been licensed for 31 years, and every LS that I have worked for is deceased or retired and let his license lapse. At this time, I am the Supervisory Land Surveyor for a small group, and my direct supervisor is a PE. the last time I applied for another state, I used DDSM and 2 guys that work for me as references. In my mind the guys that work for me would be questionable since I sign their performance evaluations but they allowed me to use them.

Don't be modest, Steve...

(did you get the results back from your last application and test? I hear the wild hog hunting is good in Texas)
Passed my Colorado exam yesterday. Thanks for the advice and support.
Congrats Andy. One miscellaneous thing you won't have to worry about is keeping track of CEUs.
