I found two very interesting documentaries on hulu.com that should be of interest to map makers, collectors and aficionados.
From the "Pure History Specials" series:
"The Waldseemuller Map" and "The Mercator Atlas"
The one about the Waldseemuller map(s) has some great history about the discovery of North America.

I was not aware of that Martin. Wonder why that is. The stuff I watch comes free. I'm not one of the paying members. They do have a lot of stuff on offer for paying members that I would certainly love to get. Alas... I must live on the cheap these days.
