I've started using one of these recently, and have noticed that all of the ports/connections are on the top.
Has anyone had any rain/weather issues with these because of this?
It almost looks like it's missing a cap or cover, but I know that it didn't come with one.
I have been using the Surveyor+ for 3 years, and we have never had any problems with rain, snow or dust affecting it. If any of my equipment is out in adverse weather, I leave it out of the case until I can dry it off properly. Also like to clean the dust out of the ports with some compressed air every once in a while.
We have a couple of surveyor + data collectors and they have been pretty bullet proof. There's an interesting video on their website showing you how tough it is... Not so much interesting as hilarious.
You should have no weather related issues with the Carlson Surveyor +. You are using one of the most rugged data collectors on the market.
