Is there a way to turn off the setup point data from being entered into the raw data (rw5) file?

Example if I download a coordinate file and then collect raw data in the field when I process the file it wants to overide the computers coordinate for that point.

I do have the protect points on, but if I have a lot of setups to edit all those points out is a pain.

Now I just delete the point data in the raw data, but was trying to find a option to turn it off.

Thanks

I have always just deleted the points out of the rw5 file. I have also noticed that you have to close the rw5 file after deleting those points and then open it back up before processing or it will still hold coordinate values for deleted coordinates.

You could try:

File > Job Settings > [New Job] Tab > and uncheck the box for "Prompt for first point".

The setting may carry over into your next new project.
