Is there a function in Carlson's surface module to apply a vertical shift to the tin model? I know I can just copy the tin model by applying a different z value to the destination (0,0,0 to 0,0,0.21 for example)and then re-tinning that. But I was wondering it there's a copy function with the delta z as a built in component. I remember Eagle Point used to have something like that.
Thanks in advance . .
Peter
ps I see Ladd Nelson had a solution using "tinutil" function but that seems to need Carlson Takeoff.
Does the standalone have Triangulation File Utilities under the Surface menu?
Carlson Survey>Surface>Triangulation File Utilities>Load TIN File>Next>Add Value
Thanks folks,
I feel much better now . .:-D

i was getting there 😛
That must be inside the Civil module. The survey 2012 menu doesn't have that item. I just move the triangles up or down and re-tin.

There was a menu/command oversight in pre-2012 versions of Carlson Survey where the Triangulation File Utilities command was errantly left out of the menu-pull. It's TINUTIL key-in equivalent should still work in these previous versions. The command should be available in 2012 Survey menus. Look for Surface -- Triangulation File Utilities.
Exists in Carlson Survey embedded AutoCAD and in Carlson Survey with IntelliCAD/AutoCAD module

Thanks, Ladd. Looks like I still have the 2011 menu loaded. I'll fix it 🙂
