Anyone have any experience with either the Carlson robots or GPS? Dealer has given me a pretty good deal, just wondering if it's too good to be true...

The Carlson robots are rebranded Geomax/Leica 1200, and their GPS is made by Hemisphere. I think it's good stuff for the price. Can't go wrong with that robot design and Carlson. That being said, when it comes time for service Leica has a much better network of service providers.

I thought you weren't happy with Carlson based on your other posts. If so why would you be considering??

I dunno. I'm running surveypro on my collectors. Just too user friendly.

I run carlson desktop so naturally I've been tinkering with switching the collectors over but there's just something about the carlson ce software that I don't like. I'm sure it's fine once you learn it but it's not as user friendly. If you picked up a collector with surveypro, you would have that thing running in minutes

I find Carlson SurvCE to be very similar to the old Sokkia SDR33 software. I like it ok, but like SurveyPro/TDS much better.
