Two from current clients.?ÿ Six from wanna be clients.?ÿ I sort of think I agreed to one job, but I can't remember who it was.?ÿ Hope they call me back sometime and ask how it's coming along.
Talked with another firm earlier this week.?ÿ They are booked through July 28 already.

It seems like a nice problem to have, but, it is probably more stressful than having too little to do.?ÿ I've been on both sides of that coin several times over the decades.
Gained another project this afternoon.
Went to a dinner and awards event this evening to pick up a nice donation grant to one of the organizations I chair.?ÿ Out of 120 or so people in the room, there were at least 30 former clients present.?ÿ Including the nice lady who lives in OZ between the Wicked Witch of the West and the new Wicked Witch of the East.?ÿ A fellow sitting about five feet from me is one of the primary donors to that specific foundation.?ÿ Nearly $100,000 of the money passed out annually comes from him.?ÿ Thirty-six non-profit type groups were the recipients.?ÿ I remember meeting him nearly 60 years ago when he was in the early stages of developing the company that he sold over 25 years ago to the Chinese for some of those new kind of dollars, as Granny would say on The Beverly Hillbillies. Lots of those.
Today proved how much I needed that nap.?ÿ Opened one eye very carefully this morning to see how much longer before the alarm would be assaulting my ear drums.?ÿ The clock reported that an extra 58 minutes had passed since the time when the alarm SHOULD HAVE gone off.?ÿ That meant I had a grand total of 17 minutes to be leaving the house with everything necessary for the day in hand.?ÿ I am a morning turtle.?ÿ I need to carefully prime myself slowly to tolerate what will slap me in the face as the day goes by.?ÿ I am not a fireman, ambulance driver or police officer.?ÿ I don't go from zero to 60 in 5.2, ever.?ÿ If I were to awake and discover the house on fire, I would probably grab some clothing and my phone, then mosey out into the yard before attempting the complexity of dialing 911.
