Latest photos here on Google were taken last November 6. Client wants to know if there is a way to plot a large (36x48) map of his farm using those photos. I haven't seen any option on Google to do that. Is it possible, and if so, how?

I haven't figured out how to get maps out of Google Maps other than to just use the print function.

However, Google Earth usually has the same photos and I can export those images. So I zoom in to get a decent resolution and then grab a bunch of pictures and use PhotoShop to stitch them together.

Other (and generally better options) are to use GIS images or images your state may provide and do the stitching in PhotoShop.

Yes

Start out by zooming and rotating the Google Earth screen to the area you want to print.

Then by selecting print from the google page a pop up window will open, select screenshot.

When your printer window opens, select fit to paper size.

Name your file and Print to PDF.

The larger the print, the more fuzzy the image.

Google Earth Pro will print a better image than the free version.

I get my best image by printing as a PDF and use press quality setting.

It may take a try or two to get the portrait and landscape setting right for the size you want.

When printing the PDF to paper, use a high DPI setting.

Your computer needs to be fast and have alot of memory to pull it off with best results.

😉

You might also see if your state has georeferenced images for the same area. NC has those files (full color 6" pixel resolution). Working with them is fantastic.

You could pay that guy from Renton to do it for you and he'll throw the coordinates of the property corners in for free!

I export the maps to Power Point and then add borders and text labels.

I have a 42" WIDE plotter. If you want a print, give me the center coordinate
and scale. The cost of ink is $100.

You can get better resolution but you will have to clip and paste, rotate, scale, smaller sections together

We have a $10,000 plotter, just trying to figure out how to get the picture to it.

Give me the lat/lon and a description of the extents and I'll put together a DWG (with images) from the USGS GeoPDF Quad map, I think they updated them (images at least) in 2013.
