@norman-oklahoma the first spike he found is in the incorrect location (the one centered on the road). I held the second railroad spike (the one that matches his deed) because of substantial evidence I found in the area that agrees with it. At least three other surveying firms in the area agree with me on this location according to the deed records I have gone through. I haven't been able to figure out who set the railroad spike in the center of the road but it doesn't fit with any other corners along the block line. My guess is someone was pressed for time on a survey and set the spike at the center of the east-west road and the road going north instead of looking for existing monumentation.
