Anyone ever come across this site? I was searching around and their crazy low prices caught me eye ... Then I noticed they are in Indonesia, then I noticed they only accept wire transfers for payment ... Three red flags. But they claim to be a Lieca dealer and the site sure looks legit.

A Leica robot for 7300????

If it seems too good to be true, it has been my experience it usually is.

Not sure if they are same. Could have just changed their name, but a few years ago I saw some what appeared dodgy GPS units and other gear.
I emailed him and he answered rather evasively until he went off air after I queried serial numbers and other details.
I reported to ebay but never heard anything.

From Leica's web site, agent/dealer/distributor for Indonesia

http://www.leica-geosystems.com/en/Sales-Support-Network_1074.htm?product=GPS&roles=sales&country=id&Submit=Proceed

Another red or yellow flag is the company is offering multiple brands. In many countries the "official" agent/dealer/distributor will only offer one brand.

U.S. warranty coverage for products purchased overseas could also be a problem. Manufacturers do track what leaves the factory and its first destination.

I think all of the "Big 3", Leica Geosystems, Trimble and Topcon, have worldwide dealer locators on their respective web sites.

All of this equipment is used. There is a large market for used equipment globally. There are several companies in the US that only handle used equipment. By cheap, sell for some profit, and move allot of product.....

No warranty, no service, and no technical support.

Also be aware that you may be buying stolen equipment.

Yeah, most of it is marked used, but you can find a few items listed as "new in the box" and they claim it includes the original warranty. I actually was looking for a used robot for a back up, when I found this site. The dirt cheap Trimble S3, with the prisms, bats., chargers, AND Ranger/with built in radio modem included, for $7800, is what originally caught my eye. But I've decided to buy local. If anyone ever has the fortitude to give this site a try, I hope they post about their experience.
