Have you used the Feno monuments?
I have avoided them because of the size of the caps, they seem kinda small and it looked like the only system that would accept even a 2" cap is the one with the large poly base.
I've used Feno monuments in the past. I like them. Most clients don't want to pay for the extra cost it takes to install them. But a nice monument they do make. It's around $100 per monument, just material.

I had an Arrogant Bastard Ale at the pizza joint in Delano, CA last night.
I am not worthy.

The poly base is optional, I've never bothered with it. But once installed, a Feno spike isn't going anywhere. I dug up one of the small ones (12"?) once just to see what it would take, and it took about half an hour. I'm not sure anything short of a backhoe will root out one of the big ones.
What size of cap did you put on them?
Geography and geology make a huge difference. I have set a few rebar that would take a jackhammer to remove. A feno would be a waste as the prongs wont penetrate rock.
Use the monument that works for the situation...
They can take 3 1/4" caps. They are almost as easy as rebar to set, but much more stable and difficult to move. A 24 " feno spike requires a huge hole to remove. Make sure you have the the coordiantes before setting them.
