I had gloves on part time after working with bare hands. I ran the gun for about 1/2 hour, fingers would get cold, so put gloves on for 15 minutes. That would slow down the shooting a bit.

We'll go back tomorrow and dig out a few corners. Improvements are located and have two called for corners. Occupation does not help if it is 5' off line. The two point reconned last week were too far apart to be used for resection. After translating and rotating we have ties from fence corners. Deed says the pipes re South of the fence, but not how far. Snow on top of rock rows with quite a bit of junk.

Mild 26° predicted for tomorrow with some snow showers.

Hey Paul

Is this a day dedicated to Surveyors or are you just saying it's a nice day to be a surveyor?

Central Coast - temp 33 Celsius

Nice and hot...

It's funny how warm 22 feels after a few days of near 0.

Not today but yesterday was OK

8 feels like 0 at the moment. Air temp may go up a little but so will wind speed thus creating an offset. Yesterday we hit 44 with almost no wind.

Was below 0F earlier this week.

Was looking for my friend (I hope) Kent to show up and enjoy the fresh air.

Cheers,

Derek

I was in the field today, solo, finishing up a boundary survey for a lot split. Six acres dividing into a 1 acre parcel and a 5 acre parcel. I started the job yesterday, and completed about half of the fieldwork.

It started out about 28, and a little wind. Not too bad. Got started in the field about 10:45 after some prep work in the office and dropping off some plans at a client's office. Finished up around 3:30, and loaded up the ATV and headed back to the office. By the time the ATV was unloaded and put in the shop and the trailer unhooked and put away, it felt like it was about 20. The cold front had started moving through. The predicted low here tonight is around 0.

Off Of Deed Calls

There was a 6' high brush pile over one exterior corner. That corner is currently tied to a 4' high cast iron fence corner now. BTW the lot line is 4.7' South of said fence and exactly parallel to it. Deed calls for the line to be South of said fence. If they want the pin recovered they can wait for spring and their own site cleanup.
