They have been licensing surveyors in B.C. since 1905 and this guy is number 837, and one of 336 now practicing. That is about 1 in 13,700 population, or nearly 1/3 as many surveyors per person than in most states, as we discussed recently. And if you compare by land area - just forget it.

Yup. There's a reason why I've posted job openings here in the past. Prince George has a population of around 75,000 and we are the only company in town with a listing in the Yellow pages under Land Surveyors.

Norman-

We've a population of about 14,000,000 in Ontario with about 600 licensed Ontario Land Surveyors (OLS) or, by my math 1:23,000 +/-.

I would have thought in BC there would need to be more surveyors as there is so much more mountainous surface area to measure ! 😀
