The unseasonal chinook off the Rockies has propelled the temps to almost 70 degrees F. around here. Full sun and a mild west wind at 5 knots makes it an exceptionally beautiful day.

I decree that all surveying, field and office, cease immediately. With due respect to all our brothers north and east of here that are enduring colder and wetter conditions I also decree that any surveyor owning two-wheeled motor vehicles shall turn off the cell phone and get out there and burn up some petrol...preferably at higher than posted speeds.

..and do be keerful..B-)

Very springlike in PDX today, also. Sunny and around 60°. Nice day for a bike ride, even the unmotorized kind that is generally popular in these parts.
