Requirements differ from State to State. Some states require a a 4 year degree in Surveying from a ABET accredited university. I think that your combination of education and experience would be considered sufficient in Oregon and Washington.?ÿ

From the description of your experience, I would guess you would be able to sit for the test. If you are in doubt, reach out to your state board of registration or the NCEES.?ÿ

While the states vary on requirements, the LSIT exam in recognized nationwide. Having gained your LSIT in another state doesnƒ??t prevent you from writing your LS.

@medo-aly, you should contact the board and ask them. I have had to reach out to our board with several questions in regards to qualifications, applying, following up to determine if they approved me for the SIT, following up once applying through NCEES, etc. Get familiar with your board reps and they will take care of you I'm sure. 

Be sure not to contact board members directly. You may gain an ally but it won't help if they are recused from any decision on your application.

Florida has a requirement of a four-year degree.  University of Florida has a certificate program and a graduate program, both online.  You may be able to parlay your associate's degree into a bachelor's degree online through various bachelor programs at University of Maine, New Mexico State University, or East Tennessee State.

How about if i take LSIT license from diff state like Maine which doesn't require 4 years degree.Will this license become certified in Florida?

The FS or LSIT is not a license in any state. I far predate the national exam concept, but I believe the FS is recognized by all states, regardless of where you were when you passed it. It is the PS and State specific exams that vary by state, some requiring a 4 year degree. It sounds like Florida is one of those.

New Jersey has a 4 year degree requirement. However, you don't have to have the degree to take the FS. You need the degree for actual licensure.

@dave-lindell the head of my surveying department ran several classes. He sometimes would have two answers on his exams that were the same, but one had a spelling mistake.

You would be marked wrong if you picked the wrong one while reading fast even though you answered "correctly" in the spirit of the question.
