Anyone know of a "Rain Hood" for Surveyor 2

So, your crew does not have sense enough to come in out of the rain? (JUST KIDDING!) I don't either! 🙂

The old ziplock plastic bag trick. With bluetooth connection you don't even have to cut a hole in it for cables.

Tell them to hike up their dresses and use the touchscreen lock and then wipe it off....takes two seconds. There will be a mint on a pillow waiting for them hen they get back to the shop...

I just finished a water job and operated the DC while it was sealed inside a dry bag. It wasn't near as fast as running a DC uncovered, but it worked. A ziplock would be easier to use, but I wanted something that would float if it went overboard.

It is one of the drawbacks to the capacitive touch screen over resistive. Can be a bit of a pain in the rain. I still prefer them over resistive though because I can see them in the sun and they don't require a sharp pointy stylus that constantly scratches the screen. A hood would be helpful on some devices though.

I usually throw my hanky over the screen and then lift it up when I need to.

It doesn't work that great though. It's not to bad in the PNW drizzle, but if it's really coming down, then it gets wet pretty fast.

doesn't look to expensive, either.

I read in my S2 materials that the touchscreen has 3 modes, finger, stylus and water, to be used when raining. I have not tried it yet, but the quick start guide says: start>Settings>System>Touch to configure. It can take 30 seconds to load a profile, dont leave that screen in the process. Click ok, and then X to go back to the home screen.
