And, is it the SAME basic software as the rest of current Carlson Data collectors use?
Or, is it modified for construction?

Same software, nothing added to SurvPC for construction purposes. Super fast though and the 7" screen is great.

I was thinking along the same lines until I demo'ed the survpc on an algiz 10x, which is basically the same as the supervisor, but bigger. I changed my mind after the demo.
I thought I could pretty much do field cadd, etc on the tablet, but it was not what I expected. Do yourself a favor and try it out first. May work fine for you, but I wasn't happy with it.
