Do you have two monuments apart at a distance of 0.28'?
Attitude ???
:good:
Attitude of Gratitude
Again, over the years, I have developed a readiness to respond in a characteristic way to a stimulus with maximum effect from minimal effort. I try to nurture positive relationships with ALL local professionals...even when I know I'm "right". 😉
Attitudes can be negative or positive. Which is yours? I did not choose your attitude. We are in charge of our attitudes.

Attitude ???

> Whenever I have approached someone whose survey I disagree with, I call them up and say that I found some of their pins and can't figure out how they got there and offer to show them my results so we can both figure it out together. How on earth does this guy think he is going to "educate" you with ranting and raving anyway.
DDSM example:
Mr. Adams,
I've found some of your monuments per the plat you filed book x, page y. I need your assistance in understanding this survey/plat. I am surveying adjoining lot x per block y and seem to be overlooking evidence you found. Please contact me at your convenience to discuss.
Thanks in advance,
DDSM:-)
A lot of streets have a convenient yellow stripe in the middle.
I've had good results when making that call to another surveyor because something didn't fit. I usually start off with "I have discovered some differences in our surveys. You may have some research or other info that I didn't find. Is there any way we could meet with our job files and see if we can figure this out together?" I have never had another surveyor get defensive when approached in this way. I try not to go into specifics on the phone. If one of us is wrong and BOTH of us are committed to finding a resolution, the process is much smoother.
Attitude ???
My thoughts exactly. Im sure you will find one of his problems someday.
Attitude of Gratitude
Not the only 'yogi' to listen to either:
I think your life depends on your attitude.
You are what you think; maybe that's why some people need attitude adjustments.
There are lots of things in life you can't control, but how you respond to those things is the one thing you can control.

Yogi Berra Explains Jazz
Interviewer: What do you expect is in store for the future of jazz trumpet?
Yogi: I'm thinkin' there'll be a group of guys who've never met talkin' about it all the time...
Interviewer: Can you explain jazz?
Yogi: I can't, but I will. 90% of all jazz is half improvisation. The other half is the part people play while others are playing something they never played with anyone who played that part. So if you play the wrong part, its right. If you play the right part, it might be right if you play it wrong enough. But if you play it too right, it's wrong.
Interviewer: I don't understand.
Yogi: Anyone who understands jazz knows that you can't understand it. It's too complicated. That's whats so simple about it.
Interviewer: Do you understand it?
Yogi: No. That's why I can explain it. If I understood it, I wouldnt know anything about it.
Interviewer: Are there any great jazz players alive today?
Yogi: No. All the great jazz players alive today are dead. Except for the ones that are still alive. But so many of them are dead, that the ones that are still alive are dying to be like the ones that are dead. Some would kill for it.
Interviewer: What is syncopation?
Yogi: That's when the note that you should hear now happens either before or after you hear it. In jazz, you don't hear notes when they happen because that would be some other type of music. Other types of music can be jazz, but only if they're the same as something different from those other kinds.
Interviewer: Now I really don't understand.
Yogi: I haven't taught you enough for you to not understand jazz that well.
