This whole day (after my visit to my 12 year old doctor for my annual Medicaid checkup) consisted of dealing with F ups created by surveys and one typical GIS mess. No surveys of this office were F uped, yet ours happened to used to do something incorrectly.
One used a large DOT Record of Survey we did, rotated it 20 minutes, created a deed along section lines, ROW lines, and property lines without setting one monument.
Holy crap!!
Another one was a misinterpretation of a sectional vs old property line creating a legal mess. Of course we surveyed the section, so we get dragged into it.
Another client called saying the engineer can't design his new septic system where it needs to go cause the property line is too far west off the shared driveway. How does the engineer know that? The GIS of course. No, the property line isn't west of the shared driveway, it's right in the middle of the drive just like our drawing shows.
I must have 5-6 hours into this stuff, it's time to call it a day an hour early.
