Wide open spaces is an understatement if that's possible.?ÿ You can see the car you will meet coming at you for at least five minutes and you are both exceeding the posted speed limit.

The tom cats carry suitcases when they go prowling.?ÿ The hawks have to carry their own posts to sit on when they tire of flying.?ÿ The storks run a relay service akin to the pony express method of delivery.

@holy-cow

No youngsters at home. Youngest is about to be 26 and surveying for a bridge over Lake Texoma. Iƒ??m one proud papa for sure!

Yeah, folks have already asked if Iƒ??m going to visit.?ÿ

One of my best memories, to be honest. Those were good times and I appreciate everything you taught me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with this punk kid back then.?ÿ

@richard-imrie

Well, I donƒ??t plan to become registered at any point so I feel this is a good road to take. I canƒ??t do CAD support for the rest of my life, I feel.?ÿ
Granted, doing consulting or drafting services may be an option at some point. Time will tell.?ÿ

Congratulations! Change and busting through the extremes of the envelope are the spice of life.

For my most recent big change -- retirement -- my daughter gave me a vanity license plate that phonetically proclaims the title of your post: A Nu Start. Since we don't live in California I can't put it on my car so I'd gladly send it to you since I'm sure the fine folks in South Dakota not only greatly admire?ÿ residents of California but also folks proclaiming their newfound direction:

A new start

(if you're a fan of the old TV show Arrested Development, you'll get this. If not, I agree with you that it's very disturbing)

?ÿ

Good luck!

Now if you could change the first "T" to be an "F" the message would have a very different twist to it.

@mike-berry I read the vanity plate as two four-letter words and thought WTH, then I read your post.????

You got it right Stephen. The character in the show is an overeducated-yet-can't-poor-pi$$-out-of-a-boot shrink who comes up with this license plate when he (tries to) makes big changes in his life.

He also unwittingly tries to make a name for himself for being both a licensed analysts and therapists?ÿ as shown in this clip:?ÿ

@scotland

I live in Dickinson ND, that was with wind chill. Actual was about -26, and thankfully the wind was calm for this area. We've had a relatively mild winter this year.
