That's one way to resolve a dispute. Beats using guns. He's good with a Sawzall.

Still against the law to destroy another person's property, it being on your land or not without a court order.

Sawzall is cheaper than a lawyer.

Surveyors are cheaper than lawyers.

But, the real loss is the neighbor. They lost a friendship. That's the bad Part.

Tangent, but this in the Comments section.?ÿ We definitely have an issue of the public's perception of us.
?ÿ
?ÿ
"Property lines tend to move back and forth depending on who is doing the survey.

They didn't have GPS back when the large tracts of land were laid out in the 18th and 19th centuries. The work was good for it's time but it was only so accurate. Minor errors compound themselves over a long run.

Apply GPS accuracy to old lines and things can get wonky.?ÿ

It costs a lot of money to hire surveyors & lawyers. It's money that could be better spent elsewhere."

The comment misses the rule of monuments over measurements. That limits the effects of accumulated errors. Otherwise it seems a fairly accurate comment, and the last line is very true.
