I just upgraded my phone with verizon newest. I run trimble R8 mostly using network service, by turning on "mobile hotspot" when running RTK. it ran very well and efficient on the old verizon.

?ÿ

Now it connects and runs, but is obviously a "weak" and unstable connection. It will fix for one, maybe two shots, then it goes "autonomous" and can't use it. I have to escape out of general survey, and restart "smartnet" to get 1 or 2 more shots in succession. over and over.

?ÿ

When at the verizon store with new phone, I brought my receiver and tested it right there, and it appeared to work fine.

?ÿ

Please help again.

Is it dropping due to incoming/outgoing calls, or randomly? If you don't have advanced calling and HD voice enabled then the hotspot will drop every time you get a call.

You might try switching your phone's hotspot signal to 5GHz band from 2.4GHz band and see if that helps. Depending on where you are working, the 2.4 band could be crowded. I think the TSC3 can run 5GHz, but don't know for sure.

i will give that a try today. no calls coming in when this happens. In every case, I am working in an area that worked fine with the old verizon, just a few days ago.
