When something gets messed up, Carlson doesn't deny it. They just fix it. I had an issue with Intellicad, and they got right on it and helped me work through the problem. The service and support are the best in the industry, by far.
Agreed. Upgraded last time, and found that they removed a command from ICad that lets me use both dynamic pan & zoom on the mouse. That command had been in there, but for some reason it was removed. I contacted tech support and they gave me the work around. I tried it for a couple weeks but my productivity wasn't as good. I told them so, and they said the command would be fixed in the next interim build.
Bruce has built his company with hands on support and it has worked well for him.
They listen very closely and at some point during most every converstaion start talking way over my head...........
And with Dave, who is a programming genius. And that is an understatement.

I'm a pretty contented SurvCE user, but I can only go part way with the above statement. In SurvCE v4 (and its predecessors, I believe), if you enter a negative right offset in the offset shot screen, it silently discards the negative sign and gives you a right offset when it should be a left offset. They reportedly fixed it in v5 -- I haven't tested it yet, having gotten burned by the bug in v4 -- but didn't offer to patch prior versions, even if they weren't very old. In fairness to Carlson, they apparently weren't even aware that offset entries were being treated as absolute values rather than signed numbers. I guess no one had ever mentioned it before I did.
In any case, Carlson has been very generous with me, so I'm not complaining, just noting.
In case you're wondering why anyone would want to use a negative right offset instead of a positive left offset, it's because it saves an Alt-L combination. Instead of pressing Alt-L and the offset value, you can hit Enter to bounce right to the Right Offset record and then enter the offset. The Alt key is sometimes slow to get recognized when switching to the offset screen, so this can prevent data entry hiccups. When you're doing a lot of offset shots, this can be significant.

I spent a lot of time on the phone with Carlson back in 03, they are top notch in tech support...... I felt like a beta tester. Lol
I'm extremely thankful to Carlson for providing a product that's let me avoid having to evolve with LDD into C3D.
