It appears that the latest update broke Mobile Device Center, first on my desktop and then a few days later when my laptop was updated WMDC quit working. I had to fire up an old XP laptop to down SurvCE on my Allegro CX

I just tried to run LGO and now I get the message that the configuration file maybe corrupted and it will not attempt to start.

I had both working before the update.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

TIA

Thanks
That fixed it. Both links had the same information.

I hope that someone will will know how to fix the Leica LGO problem that the same update caused it to stop working.

I reinstalled LGO and it now works, I guess the install fixed what Win 10 corrupted.

The WMDC-helper.exe file worked for me, but I'm still not able to import directly into Topcon Tools with my FC2500. I have to copy the job file to the computer and then I can import from the computer.

Anybody else have this issue and found a resolve?

Our contract IT guy has been working with Leica Tech Support on this issue since the middle of last week. The response he got was that Leica was looking into it, but LGO is a dated product that's not intended to work on Windows 10. I'm not sure how much farther this will go.

I also submitted a help ticket through Leica MyWorld. The response I got was to try installing the new Client License Manager first. If that didn't work then reinstall LGO.

I'm hesitant to do a reinstall. I did not set up LGO and I'm concerned about recovering all the settings and file paths. Does anyone have any insight on how much of this will remain after a reinstall?

On another note, does Leica Infinity have all the functionality of LGO? My salesman doesn't seem to think so.

Leica's response to our IT guy was a complete reinstall. Now I'm stuck trying to set the software up from scratch.

My secret to success with computers.

Once you have your computer setup with your work programs the way you want it, disconnect if from the internet.
Never hook it back to the internet and keep it as is for work only.
Pull the plug and back away from the webpage.

Next, get a budget priced remanufactured computer from EBay to connect with the internet.
When it blows a gasket, you have not lost any work.

I had been trying to find a solution to this problem ever since I upgraded to Win10 about a month ago. All the other methods I found online failed...the ones above did it. More proof that this website is one of the more useful websites on the whole internet. Hat tip to Wendell and Angel 🙂
