I obtained a copy of a survey map from a client done by a surveyor I was not familiar with.?ÿ This surveyor had previously done a couple of surveys for the client.
The north arrow on the map was a dagger with blood running down the blade and dripping off the handle.
Subsequent to that I obtained one of his maps were he had a note stating that the deeds at the County Clerk's Office were fraudulent because they were photocopies and did not have original signatures. The definition of fraudulent was also noted and there was a crown for the north arrow.
The only interesting thing about the survey was that the same family had owned it since receiving it from the Crown and it had really nice stone wall marking the boundaries.
Where the heck is a copy of these surveys...it is like you taunt us!

I think we would all like to see these maps you described.
I moved from NY to NC in 1994. I sold my records and some equipment to a local surveyor I respected.
Are you surveying in NC now? If so where?
I'm in Alaska.?ÿ Getting close to closing out the survey bucket list.?ÿ It's not so much about what I do, but where I do it.
The Galavanting Geomatician.?ÿ Sounds like the name of a soap opera or something. Or a Perry Mason book, "The Case of the Galavanting Geomatician".
I use to get surveys from a guy that had a bison with it's tail sticking up for a North arrow. Was he trying to tell me something?
Did he live in Buffalo, Missouri or Buffalo, Kansas or Buffalo, Pennsylvania or.....................
Buffalo, Missouri is about halfway between Lebanon and Humansville.
Humansville
Heck of a name!
Per Wikipedia:
Humansville was named after an African American Indian, James Human, who settled in the area in 1834.[7]?ÿA post office called Humansville has been in operation since 1839.[8]
