Ran into a problem I'm having trouble figuring out.
I started a new job last week and I thought I started it in state plane, but turns out it was no projection no datum.?ÿ Not a problem since I was collecting static and planned to move everything to the opus position anyway.
So today I found out the project needs to be on a local coordinate system.?ÿ I got the data sheet for a monument and went out and did a 1-point calibration on it.?ÿ I only need to use this for horizontal, vertical I'll use the opus elevation. I applied the 1-point calibration and then checked a couple points to make sure everything still checked, and they did.
Now here is maybe where I made a mistake...?ÿ When I got back to the office I went back in and changed the elevation on the point I collected the static on from the here elevation to the opus elevation.?ÿ This wipes out the 1-point calibration so I went back in and tried to create the horizontal only calibration again, but when I try to apply the information I get a pop-up saying "details incomplete" and I'm unable to proceed.
Has anyone encountered something like this before??ÿ Any tips on how to make this work would be appreciated.
You could try keying a completely new point combining your local coordinates and the opus elevation and use that for your calibration.
Yeah, you're on the right track.?ÿ When I changed the elevation on the static point it deleted it which caused every other point to lose its coordinates (apparently this works if you do it in TBC but not if you do it in Access).?ÿ I undeleted the point and created a new point with the opus elevation and was able to use that in the calibration.

I doubt it was deleted - Access very rarely does that - much more likely for it to have been hidden (ant that is probably something to do with the point classes).
I would like to have a look at your job file to see what has gone on here - are you able to share it?
In general changing a point after it is used in a calibration is not a good idea.
