After using TGO for many years, I processed my first static network with topcon tools. It really wasn't too bad but I have not got the reports set up to suit me just yet. I grew up on trimble GPS equipment but my new job has forced me out of my comfort zone a bit. If anyone has any tips with static processing in topcon tools or lessons learned, please feel free to comment.

Deral Paulk is your man. He had a tutorial on an older version that was pretty helpful.

I don't know for sure. The copyright is 2011. I didn't get a chance to think about it because I left out a two meter rod height. Good thing I sent the crew out to check my work. It is SOP to measure twice and cut once!

Topcon Tools has been hit and miss for me. Some of the 7.X releases don't seem to work right. If you are using Windows 7 I suggest upgrading to the highest available.

X2 on that. I would recommend exporting your vectors and processing/adjusting your data through another package (SurvNet in our case) as a safety check. Lesson learned the hard way.

I know in order to get the absolute antenna calibrations you need to have the advanced GPS functionality. You need the absolute values to process in the lastest NAD 83 epoch
