We just uploaded all our FC-5000 data collectors to the latest version of Magnet. We used the clear NVRAM pretty often in the past and cannot seem to find the routine in the new version. We do see the Factory Reset option, but does anybody now what happened to the clear the ram routine?
We're having problems too. Stake Point display option to display north and east no longer available.
Go into Setup, Receiver Management, Info, then click the M.?ÿ It says Factory Reset.?ÿ That is how you clear it in 5.2.
Oh yes.?ÿ Under the Map screen when staking a point, click text in the bottom right.?ÿ You can pick and choose what values you want there.?ÿ And there is lots.?ÿ Including Delta North and Delta East.?ÿ?ÿ
Has any once else had the new magnet for get to add the antennae calibration height with a Hyper V starting a job? We have what appears to be this issue at least three times since switching to the new version while running network rovers.
1-I blamed it on the crew, but all verticals were off 0.31'
2-I was onsite when it happened and crew was checking control before starting...all off about 0.28'. Set up gun and checked into previous site benchmark and already set finished floor...everything checked. Had crew create new job, did their stake out, and when leaving retook the gps check shots and hit what we had held previously.
3-Crew checked into a state control monument and missed verticals by 0.29' and then checked another higher order benchmark and missed 0.31'.
All misses resulted in verticals lower than published and were taken by different crews with different DC and GPS units. I was told the antennae calibration for a Hyper V is 8.8 CM (0.289') and we are basically all over that number. It also only appears to be happening with our hyper V units as it hasn't been picked up running anything else.
Check your GPS configuration Rover Antenna. The offset for Hybrid should be zero, sounds like it may be set to .30'
Ours was sent in to the shop for software update and it came back set to measure the Base and Rover HI in slant instead of vertical. It took me a few jobs and some head scratching before I finally resorted to RTFM.... That might be it, worth a try!
