I need to place top of curb/flowline spots and some top of asphalt spots on a topographic map I am working on. I am currently working on Civil 3d 2017 and also have Carlson 2016. My surface model was done in Civil 3d.
Hoping for some input before I start.
In Carlson, create a point group based on you top of curb, flow line, and asphalt shots.....Then under surface there is a draw spot elevations command. Setup the command to draw the spots how you want and tell it to use points. It will ask you to select points by screen, group, or number......Select group and it is done. FYI...if you check of to rotate each text separately you will need to each one independent once it starts. Usually I rotate the first text 45 degrees and just hold the enter key down until the programs runs through all the points.
