I hope that someone may have encountered this issue before or that someone may know of a work around.
I am trying to upload data surveyed using a Leica TPS1200 onto TERRAMODEL,
I know TERRAMODEL is designed to be used for Trimble but there must be a solution to this, I have pre programmed ADC data set for all codes in TERRAMODEL for the company that I'm working for, so all final asbuild drawings must be completed in this way.
But I am unfortunately not using a Trimble so I have to try to convert, what would normally be DC data from the Trimble handheld to TERRAMODEL, into something (ASCII) that TERRAMODEL can compute from the Leica machine.
After several attempts this has failed everytime, has anybody had to do this before? Or know how I can do this??

I'm a bit confused. Do you need data converted to a particular format for TM? I use a Geodimeter and the CU/ software for data conversion. If that's something that can help you, let me know.
Terramodel can import and export quite a few data formats including straight ascii coordinate files.
I have a copy of the Upload/Download instructions if you want me to email them to you.
Hi guys, thanks for a quick response on this.
I also thought this would be no problem, but it seems to be very tempermental, it's no problem getting the data into autoCAD but, without setting all the codes up within tht drawing (which is huge), TERRAMODEL have the pre installed codes and ADC data which doesn't seem to work with the info I'm taking from leica, I'm sure its something simple I'm missing, but guidance on this procedure is non existent online, any help would be appreciated guys.
Tyler that would be great if you don't mind. My email is [email protected].
Thanks
Danny
I think that would help Andy, I have managed to format the data into ASCII but still no prevail for TM.
On some occasion the data has imported to TM but still with errors and won't allow me to work with this data so that I can attach specific ADC info to it.( which is standard company ADC)
Thanks
Danny
Sounds more like a TM issue. Maybe our resident TM expert can help? Randy Gray "eddycreek" surveying.
