I am using Terramodel 10.6 and my coordinate scroll has disappeared even though according to my settings, it should be turned on. I'm afraid that maybe it got moved out of my viewing area. Has anyone had this happen? Any ideas on how to get it back?

Thank you!
Desirea

The manual method is to edit tmodwin.ini to change the coordscroll location to 300,300.
We have our own TML for this. http://www.geocomp.com.au/support/terramodel/tmllist.htm#CORDSCRL

I hope this helps.
Jerry

My Trimble land survey dealer thinks TerraModel has been discontinued as it is no longer listed in their land survey catalog. I checked and it is still for sale at the large machinery dealer (CAT) in town. So what is going on? Since all Trimble machine control systems are based in TerraModel I can't imagine it being discontinued. Maybe they think its of no use to a land surveyor. I only been using it for twenty years now but I stopped paying for upgrades after 9.83 (wondering what Trimble wold do with it - about nothing). So what is a current Key cost and where would you buy it?

I wish I could buy a version of TerraModel that worked inside MicroStation or AutoCAD so I could have use of modern drafting tools. I have been doing my whole projects to printing the plat in TerraModel but it's limited in drafting capability compared to real CAD.

Terramodel is still available.
Have a look at http://www.geocomp.com.au/terramodel/.
Our understanding is that Trimble has decided to discontinue their support of the product. Geocomp Systems (from Australia) continues to provide this service.
The cost of the product depends on the modules you already have and the new ones you need. Send me an email ([email protected]) and I can give you details.
Terramodel is not designed to run inside any other package as it's intention is to be stand alone without the necessity of third party packages. Do you use Dynaviews in Terramodel?
If you would like to give me an email address I can send you a copy of our Terramodel to GE option so that you can allow your clients to view your projects in Google Earth.
Regards,
Jerry

I been using Dynaviews since the beginning. Allows you to format the drawing in sheetview and also to do shading of certain layers.

I use TBC to produce kml's for Google Earth. I've never used geodetic coordinates in TM. You'd need that to go to Google Earth, right?

My Email from the board should work.

I have CAD, Cogo, Contour, Site Design, Image Manager, & Field Data. I'd like to add Roadway if I can export files to TBC to get them out on a TSC2. I already updated to a USB lock.

I'm fighting that battle now. Started using Terramodel in 1992 when it was Terracad from Plus3 Software. Now have TBC, been through a couple of training classes for it, and still having a lot of trouble grasping it. When we first got machine control, you put a Terramodel .pro file in it and were ready to go. In GCS900, I create the road in Terramodel, write out a DC file of the subgrade, a dxf of the linework, and a job file out of Access for the calibration. Import those into TBC and export svd, svl, and cfg files for the machine. Still working on that because sometimes I get something different than what I expect.

For SCS900, can use a pro as the design file for roads, still need a dxf for linework, and a cal file for the calibration. For Access, I'm still working on it. Somehow you can use data transfer to save to a general data card, then convert the dc file to something else, this is where I still get lost. And apparently there are multiple ways to do it, wish I could get one of them mastered. Been talking to Jerry about some support.
