I know that when entering grid values, say on UTM, in Trimble Access one should use a null value for the elevation by using a "?" if the point is a design point with no grade, or a property corner with no grade.
Is there a similar method that should be followed for TDS Survey Pro?
Thanks folks, just trying to do the right thing!
Well with TDS you can make points 2 dimensional (no elevation).
Well I noticed I can enter the coordinates without an elevation, just wanted to confirm this is the correct methodology.
Thanks Joe.
I've always run -99999 as a null elevation. Set that up in CAD as default null elev for exporting points.
I have TDS 4.6 and could have sworn I found a setting for establishing null elevs just last week, and my setting was -99999. I just spent 30 minutes looking through job settings and other menus but could not come up with it.
I also have Trimble Survey Controller 12.45. I couldn't find null elev setting there either.
Give it a try and see if it works.
Thanks Bryan, I will try that.
