Got the TBC updates available message so I check the boxes and start the process.

Is it my PC or do the TBC updates take forever? It's been an hour and a half and the Installshield Wizard is still setting up.

I should also say that it took a long time just to download the Coordinate System Manager update before the Installshield even started up.

Rob
I have had some problems with the TBC updates also. I've tried to update the tutorials twice now and after spending forever downloading it eventually drops out and says "user cancelled update" when in fact I did no such thing.

When I updated two of the computers at work (one PC and one laptop) it worked fine. It took about 30 minutes each. When I updated TBC on my home PC it took about an hour. Of course, the connection is faster at my office than my home DSL connection. If I remember correctly, the tutorials and the coord sys mgr took the longest.

Yes, CSM took so long it timed out and gave me an error message. I'm stuck on Optical updates right now.

I may retry CSM after I get through this last one.

I found that it works best one at a time, but it is insanely slow as well.

Well that was interesting. Shortly after this thread got going, I was able to finish all the updates rather quickly. Last time I tried doing the same updates they kept failing and taking forever to fail. Maybe Big Brother Trimble is monitoring this site and saw they had a problem?
Naw!

I tried downloading TBC standard but after three or four attempts I gave up and gave it back to the vendor. No trimble for me unless it's super cheap used stuff. IF I was going to buy new I'd try Carlson. At least they don't treat their customers with contempt.
