I am running surv ce 6.02 with a topcon ?ÿhiper v base and rover setup. My question is does anyone else have a problem when the battery dies on base or rover when You reconnect sometimes after I replace battery then go stake out a control point its a couple feet off but then if I go through the process of reconnecting everything again I can go stake out control and it will stake out correct. I have had this happen on previous versions of surv ce also so itƒ??s not just version 6. I have talked to Carlson about it and they say itƒ??s a topcon problem not there software but I have ran survey pro and have never had this problem has this happened to anyone else any solutions?

Sounds like a software issue in SurvCE. I have construction clients using Hiper V with Topcon software that go months without doing a base setup in the same project. No issues at all. Topcon Base get the WGS84 coordinate from the controller at setup. Then it sounds Carlson may be translating this the NAD83 at the rover side. Not sure if Carlson shows this but check your raw file. Everytime you initialize the rover, you should see the base info in raw file. Check coordinate. Topcon Magnet stores this info in raw data.

Might just be an internal memory battery problem. As long as the rechargeable battery has power it usually keeps the internal memory going. Once the main battery dies the internal goes to work. Best way to check is setup a job, then pull the rechargeable battery and let it sit over a weekend, replace battery and see what goes.
