In the past, I have scanned an image and removed the lines and grids in the background to leave it as a pure black on white image.
Now I'm trying to do this again and I can't retrace my steps.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
I get many PDF files that are white with black background and I use Paint to invert the colors.
It is also possible to use the cutting tool to take out blurs, splotches and other bad imagery around the parts that you want to keep before printing.

Do you mean you are bringing in a TIF or other image and you want the linework to be the color of the layer and the rest to be nothing? You save the TIF as a B&W to make that work.
You are correct, a Tiff and edit and print as a PDF for final document.
The last time maybe a year ago it took me a few days to remember the process and I had to download Paint because it had disappeared from my computer.
I have Adobe professional and can turn PDF into TIFF, open with Paint, edit, cut out or change image, invert b/w, enhance image, control tone and print back to PDF.
