I have an older drawing that I created with Land Desktop that I'm having problems redefining a block in. I would like to update a manhole symbol throughout the drawing to a symbol I have been using with Carlson Survey 2013 OEM. I know how to isolate the point numbers for the manholes and run FTF to insert the symbols, but can't figure out how to refine the block definition in this drawing to the new symbol.

Thanks
Kelly

Put your new symbol in your "Support" folder and give it the same name as the LDD block. Then insert the new block and Carlson will ask if you want to replace it, say yes, then escape. All locations will be replaced.

Got it ...thanks! I deleted all instances of the block, purged, re-ran FTF and all is good now.

You solved the problem, but there is an easier way. Under the edit pulldown is the change dialogue. As long as you know the names of the blocks you can go to the blocks/substitute tool and replace all the blocks really quickly.
