i have a cad file someone sent me and it showing the layer contains 40 entities but I can't get the point to read.
What am I doing wrong!

they are likely softdesk point objects..under the point menu try converting softdesk points to crd..
or try converting any of the LDD styles to crd...I have also had success just updating crd file from drawing file at times
