I am struggling to get DS World to plot marks & data sheets for a specific county today in Google Earth.

What alternatives are out there for a similar service?

Is there some command within Carlson that I am overlooking?

Did you try NGS Data Explorer? Not sure if it will do exactly what you are trying to do, but it has a lot of good functionality.

I have had problems in the past, and had to revert back to an older version for it to work.

Are we having another government shut down?

It appears the Integrated database is down. I tried accessing datasheets several ways and got the same "unable to connect" message each time. I will email the "keeper of the database" at NGS to inquire.

As a side note, after the shutdown a couple of years ago, I download the datasheets for California every month using this link (archive by state on the datasheet main page):

http://ftp://ftp.ngs.noaa.gov/pub/DS_ARCHIVE/DataSheets/&apos ;">ftp://ftp.ngs.noaa.gov/pub/DS_ARCHIVE/DataSheets/

Don't want to be caught without having access again.

It should be working now. The NGS was aware of the issue and believe they have it fixed.

Thanks a million man. I don't know who you know, but you sure do know somebody.

I cannot get this ftp link to work now. Oh well.

They might be doing the monthly upload of the datasheets to the ftp site. It is usually done about this time of the month. Check back in a couple of days. If it still isn't working, post something to this thread and I will check on it for you.

I often tell people "I'm not the man, but I know him." In this case, the woman.
